Li-Ion Battery Compliance

The BC1XX is a portable blender that allows user to blend 16-18oz drinks on the go. To ensure product safety, the Lithium Ion battery used inside the unit needed to be fully secured inside and handle extreme situations (drop testing, humid/wet conditions, & extended use cases). The challenge that was assigned to me after mass production started was to properly brace and protect the battery from the hot motor assembly that was right next to it. By utilizing Solidworks, FEA, rapid prototyping, and design of experiments I was able to develop a bracket that achieve all of this and limit failure rate exposure.
